What is a snood?

What is a snood? And How to wear it

Now that the cold snap is here, its time to wrap up warm, so get yourself a snood.

Traditionally, dating back to the 1860’s, a snood was a hairpiece that wrapped around the top of the head and under the hair to the nape of the neck.

Today the modern snood is a tube-shaped thick piece, oftentimes made of wool, that is worn scrunched up around the neck like a gator or pulled over the head like a hood.

If you’re sporting the snood with outerwear, wrap it a few times so it lies against your neck. Putting the hood up or down is completely up to you and the weather.

Wrap up warm this winter with your perfect Snood.
